I'm heading off to Vegas with friends and family to celebrate my 40th birthday. While, technically, I don't turn 40 'til April 16th, this is the best weekend for everyone to come. Besides, my sister always told me that the older you get, the longer your birthday lasts. So....let the festivities commence!
Well, it's official. I'm still available in China. I've found a very cool site, greatfirewallofchina.org, that lets you check and see if any web site is banned in China. Wild rebel that I am, with posts such as this, this, and this (daring stuff, man), I thought perhaps they were going to finally shut me down in the hopes of keeping the inexorable march of democracy at bay. But no, freedom still rings.

(You know if I ever actually did cause enough trouble to draw the attention of the Chinese government I'd probably crap myself, right?)
Was reading a thread on The Straight Dope bulletin boards about funny names, and remembering when I heard an airport page "Wa Hu", when I was led to this page. Some pranksters got some great PA pages out of the staff before they were figured out. Very funny. (Not outrageous but not particularly safe for work.)
