So long, Pluto.

Well, after decades of debate, it seems that Pluto has been demoted and stripped of its planetary status.  Pluto has always been rather puny and small, and didn't really quite fit the definition of planet.  Plus, scientists have found several more objects that match Pluto's makeup.  There was talk of adding three more of these little "dwarf planets" to our solar system, but the astronomers del mundo have decided to redefine what makes a planet a planet.

In happier news, Uranus is still a gassy giant. 

Seriously great mascara

I got a new mascara that you must try.   It's called "Kiss Me" mascara, and it's made by a company called BlincInc.   It goes on clean and neat, without clumping.   After two minutes it "sets" and forms a tube around the lash.   It doesn't smudge or run when wet.   It completely stays on.   Then, to get it off, all you have to do is use warm water and gentle pressure (washing your face does the trick), and the little "tubes" slide right off your lashes.   It's super-good stuff.   I got mine at Sephora.  Here's a link to a cool animated demo of how the stuff works.

Man, lots of stuff going on in real life, but it feels like I'm at a breathing point now and can come back and do some writing!

I've been getting my massage business up and running, and that's keeping me busy and crazy.  Running a real, live business is awfully grown-up work.  I'm still adjusting to the responsibility.  Meanwhile, check out my web site for my massage business.  It's a humble start, but it's a start.  I have great plans for developing it into something bigger.

Duffergeek is turning 40 in six days, and we're taking him to Vegas for a good old-fashioned hoop-de-doo.  So, on Wed., Aug 23rd, be sure to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
