The Hon. Ann Richards

Chris and I went to the Paramount Theatre tonight to hear Ann Richards speak.  God, she was so inspiring.  Funny as all get out, (she opened with a story about the crotch snaps on her bodysuit setting off airport security), she was had informed and extremely practical advice on what it takes for a Democrat to win elected office.  She has seen the Karl Rove/George W. Bush machine at work first hand, and she had some astonishing stories of just how low this team will sink to win.  She was really terrific, and I'm so glad we went.
